Range Rover Facelift Bookings Now Open: Deliveries To Commence Within The Year End
Bookings for the Range Rover Velar facelift have now begun in India. The new version of the Velar showcased itself in February and comes with a host of new upgrades - only cosmetic, though. Deliveries for the Velar are set to commence in September of this year.
So, what all is new in the facelifted Velar? The new Range Rover Velar, for the exterior, gets the pixel LED lights from Land Rover, and a redesigned rear bumper and tail lights.
Inside the car, we see a fresh design for the dashboard which holds the 11.4-inch curved touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay that can be connected to via and Rover's Pivi Pro system. Also, the terrain response system can be fiddled with through the infotainment system.
The centre console which houses the gear lever has a very clean and neat design with a classy finish with no extra screens or dials. Also, it gets a storage space which holds the wireless charging dock. The gear lever has been replaced from a dial to a more standard-looking lever.
The Range Rover Velar facelift gets two powertrain options - a petrol and diesel. One is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine that produces 247.5bhp and 365Nm of torque. This engine can make the Velar sprint from 0-100km/h in 7.5 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 217km/h.
The other powertrain available on the Velar facelift is a 2.0-litre diesel engine with a mild-hybrid system that produces 201.9bhp and 430Nm of torque. The new Velar has a top speed of 210km/h and can sprint from 0-100km/h in 8.3 seconds.
As the Velar is being driven, one thing that stands out is the Active Road Noise Cancellation which significantly minimises the external sounds providing a calm and serene environment inside the car. Also, it gets an air purification system making every breath we take fresher than the last.
As Range Rovers are not only built for comfort and a premium ride feel but also to take on almost any terrain, the Velar facelift has an impressive water wading depth of 580mm. Also, it has an 'Elegant Arrival' setting which reduces the ride height by 40mm for easy access in and out of the vehicle.
Thoughts On The Range Rover Velar Facelift
The Range Rover Velar facelift is a car that soothes the eyes when looked at. It has a modern design and premium features that make it a top-class product to own. However, prices for the Velar have not yet been released, but since bookings are going to begin within the next few months, we can expect prices to be revealed very soon.
