The Range Rover Sport SV Sports A 626bhp BMW Heart & Carbon Fibre Wheels
English SUV specialist Land Rover has revealed the Range Rover Sport SV. The all-new Range Rover Sport SV features a host of performance, luxury and tech upgrades.
The all-new SV is the flagship version of the Range Rover Sport that was revealed to the world a year ago. The new Range Rover Sport SV like the flagship Range Rover SUV has ditched Land Rover's iconic 5.0-litre supercharged V8 for a Teutonic twin-turbo.

The Range Rover Sport SV is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine from BMW. Under the bonnet of the Sport SV, the engine sports the same tune as the previous BMW M5 CS.
The new Range Rover Sport SV's V8 pushes out 626bhp and 750Nm of peak torque which is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Compared to the previous SVR, the new Sport SV produces an extra 59bhp and 50Nm of peak torque at the crank.

The increase in engine output has resulted in quite a few performance gains. 0-100km/h in the new Range Rover Sport SV takes just 3.8 seconds (0.7 seconds quicker than the previous SVR). The top speed is a frankly mad 290km/h for an SUV that weighs 2,485kg.
The new Sport SV also sports a brand-new suspension setup reminiscent of the ones found in McLaren's supercars. The regular air suspension setup is aided and abetted by a hydraulically cross-linked damper system that removes the need for anti-roll bars.

The new Range Rover Sport SV also sits 10mm lower than the standard SUV. However, switch the sporty SUV into its bespoke SV mode and the ride height will drop by a further 15mm.
Braking duties are handled by a brand-new set of carbon ceramic brakes developed in collaboration with Brembo. The front brakes measure 440mm and are the same size as the largest discs ever fitted to a car to date. The brakes, which help save 34kgs of unsprung weight are clamped down by cross-piston callipers.

Available as an optional extra but standard for the Edition One launch cars are new 23-inch wheels made from carbon fibre. These save 35.6 kilos over the standard 23-inch aluminium rims.
The interiors of the SV feature a few upgrades over the regular SV including a smoked chrome finish for the highlights, carbon fibre seats, and a 19-speaker Meridian hi-fi system that is aided by haptic drivers in the seats.

Thoughts About The Range Rover Sport SV
The Range Rover Sport SV takes the smaller sporty Range Rover SUV and gives it enough boost to trouble supercars while also featuring the ability to make its way across the toughest terrain with ease.
