Pininfarina Battista Edizione Nino Farina: An All-Electric 1,877bhp Hypercar
Automobili Pininfarina unveiled a limited edition hypercar of theirs, the Battista Edizione Nino Farina. The Nino Farina edition will premier at the Goodwood Festival of Speed that is set to take place from 13-16 July. This limited edition hypercar is priced at Rs. 28.1 Crore (3.1 million Euros)!
The Pininfarina Battista Edizione Nino Farina has a very thoughtful story behind it. The Edizione Nino Farina was built to showcase their family's legacy. The first F1 World Champion, Nino Farina, was the nephew of the founder of Pininfarina, Battista 'Pinin' Farina. This edition is limited to only 5 models.

At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Pininfarina Battista Edizione Nino Farina will be driven by the former F1 racer and Goodwood Hill Climb Champion, Nick Heidfeld. Heidfeld also played a major role in the development of the Battista.
The Battista Edizione Nino Farina has a powertrain that is absolutely bonkers. It has an all-electric quad-motor setup with a 120kWh that produces a whopping 1,877bhp and 2,340Nm of torque. This power allows the car to sprint from 0-100km/h in 1.86 seconds and 0-200km/h in 4.79 seconds!

Coming to the design of the Pininfarina Battista, at first glance, we see an eye-catching red shade called Rosso Nino, and a white band on the lower part of the car with a neat blue strip on top. Near the rear fender, the digits '01' are seen coloured in white.
The white and blue colour scheme is also visible on the side-view wing mirrors and under the rear wing. We also see Nino's name, a wreath, and the numbers '01' to show respect to the first ever F1 World Champion.
We also see Nino Farina's name on the headlights and his signature on the driver side rear fender. The alloy wheels are painted in a satin gold shade which helps highlight the Rosso Nino red on the car. Also, the Battista Edizione Nino Farina comes with butterfly doors.
One of the most unique features is seen once we enter the Pininfarina Battista Edizione Nino Farina - two seats with different colours. The driver's side seat comes in black with the digits '01' wrapped in a wreath in gold stitched on the headrest. The passenger seat has a beige finish with the Pininfarina logo embroidered on it.

"We imagine Battista and Nino both out on a drive, Nino at the wheel pushing hard as ever, with his proud uncle at the side and that's what the two seats signify," said Dave Amantea, the Chief Design Officer at Automobili Pininfarina.
The blue shade seen on parts of the exterior is also seen on the seatbelt. The steering wheel is extremely classy - it has a brushed aluminium finish and a black plate with Nino Farina's signature.

Furthermore, all 5 units of the limited edition Pininfarina Battista come with a unique door plate to mark major dates in Nino Farina's life adding an even more personal touch to the hypercar.
One will feature the date and place he was born in - Turin, 1906; another features his first F1 pole position and race victory - British GP, 1950; his second f1 victory - Swiss GP, 1950; his third and final victory - Italian GP, 1950; and lastly, the 1950 F1 World Championship Victory.
Thoughts On The Pininfarina Battista Edizione Nino Farina
The Pininfarina Battista Edizione Nino Farina has an exceptionally long name, but that's the only downside to the car. This electric hypercar is a downright monster and quite frankly, a bullet as well.
The fact that this car has been built to honour Nino Farina adds a massive emotional quotient to the founder of the company, which ended up with him outdoing himself and taking the electric hypercar market to a whole new level.
