Nissan Magnite Updated – New Features & More
Nissan India has updated the Nissan Magnite SUV with new powertrains ahead of the implementation of new emission regulations. Furthermore, the Japanese automaker also updated the feature list in the Magnite SUV.
Diving into details, the updated 2023 Nissan Magnite SUV now comes equipped with new RDE (Real Driving Emission) compliant engines. In addition to that, the updated SUV now comes with features such as vehicle dynamic control, TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), TCS (Traction Control System), and hill start assist.

However, Nissan India has cut down some features to keep the cost competitive. As a result, the updated 2023 Nissan Magnite SUV now offers LED foglights only on the top-spec XV Premium trim level. On the other hand, the mid-spec XL trim of the updated SUV now loses two tweeters and a rear parcel shelf.
Despite cutting down some features, Nissan India could not manage to keep the prices stable. As a result, the Japanese automaker has hiked the prices of the Nissan Magnite SUV by Rs 20,500. However, this price hike seems more than justifiable given the new features that have been added as part of the update.

In terms of specifications, the Nissan Magnite SUV continues to come with two engine options. The base engine is a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 72bhp of power and 96Nm of torque. On the other hand, the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine produces 98.6bhp of power and 160Nm of torque. Gearbox options include 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT unit.
Furthermore, Nissan Magnite is built on the CMF-A+ platform that underpins the Renault Triber and the platform itself is a derivative of the CMF-A platform that underpins the Renault Kwid, as a result, the SUV sports a low kerb weight. Though the Nissan Magnite is the lightest SUV in its class, the model scored an impressive four-star safety rating at the Global NCAP crash testing.
Thoughts About The New Nissan Magnite
Nissan Magnite has been a game-changer for the Japanese automaker in India. Moreover, the Japanese SUV offers a spacious and feature-packed interior, decent powertrains, and comes with an attractive price tag. With the latest update, the Nissan Magnite comes with even more features and a better value proposition despite the price hike.
