Nissan Magnite AMT Launched In South Africa At R2,34,900 – Automatic Becomes More Accessible
Nissan has launched the AMT version of the Magnite SUV in South Africa at R2,34,900/ This means, the new Nissan Magnite AMT is priced at just R16,000 more than similarly specced manual transmission variants.
In South Africa, the new Nissan Magnite AMT version is available in just three trim levels. These 3 trim levels include Visia, Acenta, and Acenta Plus. Out of these three trim levels, 'Visia' is the base-spec trim, whereas the Acenta Plus is the top-spec offering from Nissan.
In terms of features, the base-spec Visia trim of the Nissan Magnite SUV comes equipped with 16-inch steel rims, a basic 2-din audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, a multi-function steering wheel, power windows and climate control.
On the other hand, the mid-spec Acenta trim offers more features such as 16-inch alloy wheels, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a push-button start/stop system, and cruise control.
Finally, the top-spec Acenta Plus trim of the Nissan Magnite SUV comes equipped with premium and convenience-aiding features such as LED headlamps, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and an intelligent cruise control system.
Much like the Indian-spec Nissan Magnite SUV, the South African spec Nissan Magnite SUV uses a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine in the AMT gearbox-equipped variants. This engine puts out 71bhp and 96Nm of peak torque.
Speaking about the Magnite EZ-Shift (AMT variant), Nissan recently launched the AMT version of the Magnite SUV in India. The introduction of this new variant is expected to attract more customers and boost the sales figures for the Magnite SUV in India.
Though the Nissan Magnite already offers a CVT gearbox in India, this particular transmission option is exclusive to the turbocharged variant. As a result, opting for a Nissan Magnite SUV with automatic transmission used to be an expensive affair.
