Nexa Hits 2 Million Sales Milestone – Baleno Leads The Charge
Maruti Suzuki has announced that its Nexa range of models has hit the 2 million sales milestone since it was first introduced in India back in 2015. Out of which the recent 1 million sales were achieved in the last 4 years despite the pandemic and semi-conductor shortage.
Speaking about Nexa, Maruti Suzuki established 'Nexa' as its premium retail chain where it could offer customers a 'Premium Experience'. So far, the 'Premium Experience' business model through Nexa dealerships has been very successful for the Indo-Japanese automaker and there are around 480 Nexa dealerships across the country.
Current models in the Nexa range include Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz, XL6, and Grand Vitara. Out of these, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been leading the charge in terms of sales and very soon the company will launch the Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Jimny SUVs as well.
With these new launches, the Nexa model range will be further strengthened and it will help the Indo-Japanese automaker improve its overall sales figures. Speaking about sales, the Nexa model range holds almost 10 per cent of the market share in the Indian four-wheeler market.
In terms of numbers, Nexa managed to sell 2,55,000 units of its cars last year and the company is aiming to sell around 3,70,000 cars this year according to Mr Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director of Maruti Suzuki India Limited.
Moreover, we expect the launch of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx SUV and Maruti Suzuki Jimny SUV to help the automaker achieve its aim as both models have already clocked decent booking numbers well ahead of their respective launches in the coming months.
Thoughts About The Maruti Suzuki's Nexa Model Range
With the introduction of the Nexa model range, Maruti Suzuki has been able to break out of the 'Entry-Level' vibe. This allowed the Ino-Japanese automaker to attract a new set of buyers looking for a more premium experience.
