2023 Volkswagen Tiguan Launched At Rs 34.69 Lakh
Volkswagen India has launched the 2023 Tiguan SUV at Rs 34.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The latest iteration of the Tiguan SUV features numerous upgrades and changes including Level 1 ADAS tech and a more efficient powertrain.
According to Volkswagen, the updated 2.0-litre, turbocharged petrol engine (2.0 TSI) is now 7 per cent more fuel efficient and returns a fuel efficiency figure of 13.54 km/l (ARAI certified).
Additionally, the powertrain has also been upgraded to comply with the latest BS6 Phase 2 emission regulations and RDE norms. Despite these changes, the powertrain puts out 187.7bhp of power and 320Nm of torque. Also, power is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed DSG transmission.
In terms of design, the updated Volkswagen Tiguan looks just as understated as ever before. However, there are a few noticeable changes such as the wider front grille, darkened LED Matrix headlights, a pair of updated LED taillamps with refreshed graphics, and more.
On the inside, the updated Volkswagen Tiguan now comes with dual-tone Storm Grey interiors and features such as a wireless mobile charger, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch infotainment unit with gesture control, panoramic sunroof, and parking assistance.
Volkswagen has given special attention to safety with features such as six airbags, rear seat belt reminder, ABS, ESC, anti-slip regulation (ASR), EDTC (Engine Drag Torque Control), hill start assist, hill descent control, active TPMS, 3-point seat belts, ISOFIX points and driver alert systems.
At present, Volkswagen India is offering the updated Tiguan SUV in 5 different shades including Nightshade Blue, Oryx White with Pearl effect, Deep Black, Dolphin Grey, and Reflex Silver.
