Updated Hyundai i20 Launched In India At Rs 6.99 Lakh – Powertrain, Features, Safety & More
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) just launched the updated Hyundai i20 premium hatchback at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This latest version of the i20 hatchback features updated design, features and safety systems.
Tarun Garg, COO of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., expressed his thoughts on this reveal, stating, "The i20 series has constantly raised standards within India's automotive industry. We are proud to state that we have a passionate customer base of over 1.3 million, and the all-new Hyundai i20 is undeniably a symbol of our customers' high expectations."
Starting with the design, the latest version of the Hyundai i20 hatchback comes with new LED headlamps with signature LED DRLs, and new boldly designed front and rear bumpers.
Furthermore, the car's overall appearance is amplified by its sharp lines, aerodynamic styling elements, 16-inch alloy wheels, and a striking new front grille - All of which embody Hyundai's unique parametric design language.

Stepping inside, the updated Hyundai i20 features ambient lighting, a BOSE premium 7 speaker system, an updated infotainment system, semi-leatherette seats, leatherette-wrapped door armrests, chic leather-wrapped D-Cut Steering wheel, and seven ambient sounds inspired by nature.
Other noticeable features include 52 Hinglish voice commands, Over-the-Air updates, Multilanguage UI support for 10 Regional and 2 International languages, and a convenient C-Type charger and 60+ car connectivity features.
The revamped Hyundai i20 also comes equipped with 26 standard safety features. This includes 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Assist Control (HAC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Antilock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (BD), and more. Moreover, the car now features seatbelt reminders for all passengers.
Other notable safety features include the Burglar alarm, Emergency stop signal, rearview parking camera, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), headlamp escort function, and automatic headlamps.
That being said, the sole powertrain available on the updated Hyundai i20 is the 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine. This engine can be specified with either a manual or a CVT unit. Moreover, the new i20 now includes the Idle Stop & Go (ISG) feature to increase fuel efficiency.
The all-new Hyundai i20 is also available in a wide range of shades. This includes Amazon Grey (New), Atlas White, Titan Gray, Typhoon Silver, Starry Night, Fiery Red, Atlas White with Black Roof, and Fiery Red with Black Roof.
In terms of warranty, the new Hyundai i20 comes with a warranty of 3 Years/ 1,00,000 kilometres and an option for extended warranty, guaranteeing peace of mind to its owners.
