Viral Video Shows Risks Of Night Driving – Kia Seltos SUV Hits Buffalo At 110km/h

Night driving is definitely riskier than driving during the day, mainly due to reduced visibility. Now, a viral dash cam video shows how dangerous night driving can actually be in real life.

In the viral video captured by a dash cam mounted on a Kia Seltos SUV, we can see that the model is progressing on a highway at a decent pace. Suddenly, a buffalo appeared on the same lane as the Seltos SUV, resulting in the accident despite the driver managing to stomp on the brakes.

Looking into the details, the Kia Seltos can be seen overtaking a few cars and sticking to the right lane of the four-lane highway. However, a buffalo suddenly appears on the right lane. Though the driver managed to apply brakes, the distance between the buffalo and the SUV was too short to avoid the accident.

This resulted in Seltos SUV ramming the Buffalo. Also, according to the narration in the video, the SUV lost control after ramming the buffalo and rolled three times before coming to a halt.

Furthermore, post-accident pictures also reveal the intensity of the accident where we can see the Kia Seltos SUV has been damaged to such an extent that even the pillars and roof of the model were completely deformed.

That being said, this dash cam footage of Kia Seltos SUV ramming buffalo is a big reminder about the risks involved during night drives. Also, we think this accident happened due to 4 reasons - The inability of the government to keep cattle out of highways, poorly lit roads, high-speed driving, and poor headlight illumination.

What is even more interesting is that, out of all the above reasons for the accident, even if one reason was non-existent, this accident could have been avoided. That being said, manufacturers could provide headlights with better illumination to avoid such situations.
