New All-Electric MINI Charged Edition Launched In India For Rs 55.00 lakh - Only 20 Units Available
Adding a jolt of excitement to its electric vehicle lineup, BMW Group has unveiled the latest MINI Charged Edition in India for a price of Rs 55.00 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
This vehicle is based on the all-electric MINI 3-door Cooper SE and will make its way to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and will be restricted to only 20 units.
The latest-version comes with cosmetic-changes that distinguish it from the regular model. The MINI Charged Edition has a new Chili-Red colour scheme along with a multi-tone white roof. This car boasts an Aspen-White exterior trim, adding white-accents to elements like the headlamp and taillight-rings, door-handles, logos, and tailgate-handle.
The car features frozen red sports stripe and vibrant Energetic Yellow touches on the bonnet, doors, and boot. The chrome-finished air inlet on the bonnet adds a stylish touch. The special edition runs on 17-inch power-spoke alloy wheels with distinctive Energetic Yellow highlights, giving it a one-of-a-kind look.
The limited edition MINI is powered by a 135kW electric motor that generates 181bhp and 270Nm of peak torque. The electric hatchback can clock 0-100 km/h in 7.3 seconds and gets a 32.6kWh battery pack that offers a range of 270km on a single charge.
Inside the MINI Charged Edition, you'll find improved leatherette Carbon Black upholstery. The steering wheel comes with enhanced functionality and fewer controls, now wrapped in Nappa leather.
There's a 5-inch MID unit with a black panel while the infotainment duties are handled by an 8.8-inch touchscreen unit in the centre. The Charged Edition gets the Energetic Yellow accents on the start/stop toggle switch, gear lever and badging on the door sills to set itself apart.

In terms of features, the car has in-built navigation, Apple CarPlay, a Harman Kardon speaker system, wireless charging and more. The electric car also gets two driving modes - Sport and Green. Driver Assistance Systems include Cruise Control, Park Distance Control, Rear View Camera and TPMS.

With the new Charged Edition, MINI India will provide customers with the option for a single installation of the MINI Smart Wallbox charger and a portable DC charging cable as standard.
The company states that using a 50kW DC fast charger, the car can be charged from 0 to 80 per cent in just 36 minutes. It stands at 2 hours and 30 minutes with an 11kW AC charger and 9 hours and 43 minutes with a 2.3kW AC charger.
The MINI Charged Edition will come with the standard 2-year/unlimited kilometres warranty, which can be extended up to five years. The battery pack will have a standard warranty of 8 years/100,000 kilometres. BMW has fast charging stations in 35 cities through its dealer network across the country.
