Chinese-owned British carmaker MG has revealed he facelifted hector SUV. Prices for the 2023 MG Hector facelift will be revealed on the 11th of January at Auto Expo 2023.

The facelifted 2023 MG Hector brings with it a host of changes in terms of both design and features with the updated SUV sporting a bold new front end and loads more tech.

At the front, the facelifted MG Hector sports a brand new Argyle-inspired diamond mesh grille which is larger and wider than before stretching lower down onto the front bumper and featuring quite a bit more chrome. The Hector has retained its split headlamp setup with DRLs up top and the actual headlights sitting lower on the front bumper in an enclosure share with fog lights.

The 2023 Hector rides on 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and also features a redesigned set of taillights that stretch across the rear of the SUV. The rear section also features a bit more chrome and the Hector badge on the tailgate.

The interiors of the MG Hector for the 2023 model year have also undergone quite a few changes. The dual-tone interior looks quite pleasant and the dashboard features redesigned vents for the aircon setup. The MG hector is offered in 5, 6 and 7-seater configurations.

The biggest change on the inside though comes in the form of the portrait-oriented infotainment display. The screen measures 14 inches across the diagonal and is the largest of its kind fitted to a car in India (unless you count Merc's Hyperscreen). Other changes come in the form of a fully digital driver's display and a revised 3-spoke steering wheel.

The infotainment display allows you to connect up with MG's i-Smart connected car suite which now features more than 75 connected features. The infotainment display also offers up wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.

The biggest tech-centric safety changes come in the form of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The 2023 MG Hector features 11 ADAS including Traffic Jam Assist (TJA) and Auto Turn Indicators among others.

Mechanically the MG Hector remains unchanged drawing power from 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre petrol hybrid (mild) and 2.0-litre diesel powerplants.

Speaking at the unveiling of the 2023 Hector, Rajeev Chaba, President and Managing Director, MG Motor India, said, "We are grateful to our customers for the overwhelming response to the MG Hector since its launch in 2019. Hector brought with it the first-ever experience of an internet car. This Next-Gen Hector enhances the stance of the MG Hector through looks, interiors, and technology. It comes with the assurance of our MG Shield program which offers a hassle-free and smooth ownership experience for our customers who can experience the Next-Gen Hector for themselves at our 300 centres across India".

The 2023 MG Hector has stepped up its game bringing in a host of changes including new looks, new tech and a giant infotainment display to help it stand out from rivals like the Tata Harrier and the Mahindra XUV700.
