MG Comet EV Bookings Open – Token Amount Details Inside
MG Motor has opened bookings for the MG Comet EV in India and the booking amount for the newly launched small electric car is capped at Rs 11,000 (All variants).
At present, the MG Comet EV is available in three variants - Pace, Play, and Plush. In terms of pricing the Pace variant is priced at Rs 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the top-spec 'Plush' variant is priced at Rs 9.98 lakh (ex-showroom).

Speaking about the MG Comet EV, the small electric car is powered by a 17.3kWh battery pack and a rear-axle-mounted electric motor capable of producing 41.4bhp of power and 110Nm of torque.
In terms of charging, the MG Comet EV uses a 3.3kW AC charger and the company claims that the EV can charge to 80 per cent of the battery capacity in just 5 hours. Furthermore, the ARAI-rated range for the MG Comet EV stands at 230 kilometres.

Dimensions-wise, the MG Comet EV measures just 2,974mm long, 1,505mm wide, 1,613mm tall, and sports a wheelbase of just 2,010mm. Compared to a Tata Nano, the MG Comet EV is 125mm shorter in length, 245mm narrower, 39mm shorter and sports a 220mm smaller wheelbase as well.
Despite its compact dimensions, the MG Comet EV is surprisingly spacious thanks to BICO (Big Inside, Compact Outside) concept. In fact, the MG Comet EV can comfortably seat four healthy-sized adults with ease.

In terms of features, the MG Comet EV comes with a large 10.25-inch infotainment unit, an identical-sized digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, connected car tech, automatic climate control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Smart Key and more.
At present, the MG Comet EV does not have any direct rivals in India and the closest rivals are in the form of the Citroen eC3 and Tata Tiago EV, both of which are at least a size bigger.
