Mercedes To Launch Its Most Powerful Production Car In India – Check Out All Details
Mercedes-Benz recently announced that it will launch the Mercedes AMG GT 63 S E Performance sedan in India and the performance sedan is scheduled to be launched on April 11.
Speaking about the Mercedes AMG GT 63 S E Performance, the performance sedan is currently the most powerful production AMG car and the launch of the model is expected to further strengthen the portfolio of AMG models in the country.
The Formula 1 inspired, Mercedes AMG GT 63 S E Performance sedan is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged, V8 engine and an electric motor. This hybrid powertrain in the Mercedes AMG GT 63 S E Performance is tuned to produce 834.5bhp of power and 1,400Nm of torque.
Diving into details, the 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged, V8 engine produces 632.6bhp of power and the electric motor puts around 202bhp of power. Thanks to this powertrain, the performance sedan can hit 100km/h from a standstill in just 2.9 seconds and can reach speeds up to 316km/h.
It is also worth mentioning that the 202bhp electric motor is coupled to a 6.1kWh battery pack. This enables the new Mercedes AMG GT 63 S E Performance sedan to drive in EV mode for up to 12 kilometres.
Other interesting details on the new Mercedes AMG GT 63 S E Performance sedan includes a top speed of 130km/h in EV mode, 4 levels of regenerative braking, and one pedal drive capability as well.
Compared to the Mercedes GT 63 S 4-Door Coupe, the new Mercedes AMG GT 63 S E Performance sedan sports slightly revised front and rear bumpers along with new alloy wheels measuring 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear.
