Maruti Suzuki’s Version Of Innova Hycross To Be Named ‘Engage’ – All Details Here
Maruti Suzuki is likely to make its entry into the more premium spectrum of the Indian automobile market with the rebadged version of the Innova Hycross MPV. We expect this upcoming MPV to be called 'Engage' as the company has filed an application to register this name.
However, this name is yet to be finalised as the application status reads "Formalities Chk Pass". This means the 'Engage' trademark can be denied, and in such conditions, the company has to look for other names for its rebadged version of the Innova Hycross MPV.

This upcoming Maruti Suzuki's iteration of the Innova Hycross MPV will be part of Toyota and Suzuki's global partnership. Also, this partnership has helped both automakers expand and strengthen their respective product portfolios.
Speaking about the Toyota Innova Hyross, the MPV turned out to be another success story for Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited (TKM) and the company sold more than 5,750 units of Innova Hycross MPV in March 2023.

However, Toyota stopped accepting bookings of some variants of the Toyota Innova Hycross MPV as the waiting period for some variants stretched as far as 2.5 years. As such, it will be difficult for the Japanese automaker to supply Innova Hycross to Maruti Suzuki in equally large numbers.
As such, it is safe to expect a limited supply of Innova Hycross MPV to Maruti Suzuki. Also, Maruti Suzuki is expecting to sell just 10,000 units (annually) of the rebadged version of the Innova Hycross MPV through its Nexa dealerships.

That being said, the Maruti Suzuki's version of the Toyota Innova Hycross is expected to sport a new front fascia and a slightly revised rear section. However, we are not sure if Maruti Suzuki's version of the Hycross will come with all the powertrain options available in the Innova Hycross.
We also expect prices for the Maruti Suzuki's version of the Hycross MPV could be around Rs 50,000 more than the equivalent version of the Toyota Innova Hycross MPV.

Thoughts: With the launch of the rebadged version of the Toyota Innova Hycross, the Nexa dealerships will witness more premium customers, which may help the Indo-Japanese automaker in the long run.
