Maruti Suzuki Jimny Thunder Edition Launched At Rs 10.74 Lakh - More Affordable & Shiny Just For December
Maruti Suzuki Jimny Thunder Edition launched at Rs 10.74 lakh (ex-showroom). The Maruti Suzuki Jimny Thunder Edition will only be on sale this month and is around Rs 2 lakh more affordable than the regular Jimny.
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny Thunder Edition is offered in all three trim levels of the SUV. The base Zeta manual costs Rs 10.74 lakh while the Zeta automatic version costs Rs 11.94 lakh.
The Jimny Thunder Alpha MT costs Rs 12.69 lakh while the dual-tone Alpha MT is priced at Rs 12.85 lakh. The Jimny Thunder Edition Alpha AT sports a price tag of Rs 13.89 lakh while the dual-tone Alpha AT sells at Rs 14.05 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom).
So what exactly do you get for the Thunder Edition compared to the standard Jimny? Maruti Suzuki has added a few accessories as standard to the Jimny Thunder Edition to make it stand out from the crowd.
These accessories include decals on the sides of the SUV in the shape of mountains. Other add-ons include a front bash plate, side door cladding, door visor, and silver garnish on the ORVMs, bonnet, and fenders.
Mechanically, the new Jimny Thunder Edition is unchanged compared to the 'regular' Jimny. Under the bonnet, the naturally aspirated, K15B, 1.5-litre, four-cylinder engine pushes out 103bhp and 134Nm of peak torque.
The engine's output is sent to all four wheels via either a five-speed manual gearbox or a four-speed torque converter automatic transmission and the firm's AllGrip Pro 4x4 system. All this is once again unchanged from the regular Jimny.
