The engine of the Ignis has been updated to comply with the latest emission norms prescribed by the government. The Ignis is compliant with the new Real Driving Emissions tests that are a part of the BS6 Phase 2 emission norms. The engine is also compliant with the upcoming flex-fuel norms and can run on E20 fuel (20 per cent alcohol to petrol mix).
The Ignis is now also compliant with the latest vehicle safety regulations from the government, and it is now safer than ever. All variants now come equipped with ESP while Hill Hold Assist is offered on AGS versions starting from the Delta variant level. The standard safety kit also includes the HEARTECT body, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchor points, and seat belt pretensioners with force limiters.
