Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara S-CNG Launched At Rs 12.85 Lakh - 26.6km/kg Mileage

Maruti Suzuki has launched the Grand Vitara S-CNG. Prices for the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara S-CNG start at Rs 12.85 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara S-CNG is offered in two variant levels - Delta and Zeta (both manual only). The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara S-CNG Delta is priced at Rs 12.85 lakhs while the Zeta variant commands a price tag of Rs 14.84 lakhs (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom).

The Grand Vitara S-CNG is only offered with the mild hybrid variant of Maruti's flagship SUV. This means that Grand Vitara S-CNG draws power from a 1,462cc four-cylinder K15C Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine that runs on both petrol and CNG.

In CNG mode, the K15C engine in the Grand Vitara S-CNG produces 86.63bhp at 5,500rpm and 121.5Nm of peak torque at 4,200rpm. In petrol mode, the engine produces 99.2bhp and 136Nm of peak torque.

The all-new Grand Vitara S-CNG is only offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox that sends power to the front wheels. The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara S-CNG delivers a mileage of 26.6km/kg (ARAI).

Like its petrol-powered siblings, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara S-CNG comes packed with a host of features including the 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ Infotainment system with support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with the Suzuki Connect suite of 40+ connected car features including smartwatch connectivity, remote voice access with Suzuki Connect skill for Amazon Alexa, vehicle tracking, remote AC on/off, geofencing and others.

The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara S-CNG also comes packed with safety tech. The higher Zeta spec version of Maruti's flagship Grand Vitara CNG SUV sports 6 airbags, a reversing camera and sensors for parking at the rear, ABS with EBD, ESP, Hill Hold Assist and ISOFIX child seat anchor points as standard.

The Grand Vitara is the latest vehicle in the Maruti Suzuki range to get the S-CNG factory-fitted CNG system and has been offered at quite an attractive price point. How the addition of the CNG system affects boot space is something that has not been revealed and is something one should consider if one wishes to take it out for long trips with the family.
