Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara In High Demand - Waiting Period Extends Up To 12 Weeks
Maruti Suzuki recently launched the Grand Vitara in India and the SUV immediately clicked with Indian buyers. In fact, the Indo-Japanese automaker sold 9,183 units of the SUV in February 2023.
Now, since the demand for the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV is on the higher side, the waiting period for the SUV has also increased up to 12 weeks. It is also worth mentioning that the lower trim levels of the Grand Vitara SUV demand more waiting periods.

That being said, the waiting period for the CNG variant of the Grand Vitara SUV is around 2 to 4 weeks and the waiting period for the Strong Hybrid variant of the SUV is usually around 3 to 4 weeks from the date of booking.
However, the waiting period for the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV can vary depending on the location. As such, it is advisable to contact your nearest Maruti Suzuki Nexa dealership to get more information regarding the waiting period on the new Grand Vitara SUV.

Speaking about the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, the SUV replaced the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross in India, and it is available in 6 variants - Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Zeta+. Alpha, and Alpha +. Furthermore, the model is available with two hybrid engine options.
The base mild-hybrid engine is the automaker's tried-and-tested 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine with 102bhp of peak power and 135Nm of peak torque. Also, this engine can be specified with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

On the other hand, the strong hybrid unit sourced from Toyota puts out 114bhp of peak power. Out of which, the ICE produces 91bhp of peak power and 122Nm of peak torque, whereas the e-motor produces 78bhp of power and 144Nm of torque. Also, the model uses an e-CVT gearbox.
It is also worth mentioning that the strong hybrid variant of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV can travel up to 25km on pure electric power. As a result, the SUV is currently the most fuel-efficient SUV available in India with a fuel efficiency figure of 28km/l.

In terms of features, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV is the first Maruti Suzuki model to feature a panoramic sunroof and it is also the only SUV in its segment to be offered with an optional all-wheel-drive system (Mild-Hybrid with manual gearbox).
Other features on the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV include a heads-up display, a large 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, connected car tech, wireless charging, ambient lighting, all-LED lighting, ventilated seats, digital instrument cluster and many more.
