Maruti Suzuki Eeco Crosses 10 Lakh Customers Milestone
The Maruti Suzuki Eeco, the nation's most popular van, recently went past the 10 lakh customers milestone.
The Maruti Suzuki Eeco, the nation's most popular van, recently went past the 10 lakh customers milestone. The Maruti Suzuki Eeco was first introduced in 2010 and has since undergone quite a few tweaks while retaining its overall boxy shape.
The Maruti Suzuki Eeco in its latest avatar is offered up in 13 variants including different guises like 5 and 7-seater passenger vans, commercial vans - Cargo & Tour and an ambulance.

This has helped the Eeco reach a variety of passengers from those looking for a spacious vehicle to carry large families to small business owners looking for either a taxi or a cargo van and even those looking for a vehicle to use as an ambulance to help save the lives of medically vulnerable people.
Maruti Suzuki recently gave the Eeco a rather important update. While this update may not have changed things much cosmetically, it brought a big change under the bonnet of the Eeco van along with a new steering wheel and digital instrument cluster.
The big change to the Eexo came in the form of the updated K12C engine from Maruti Suzuki which sports Daul jet and Dual VVT technologies. The new K12C engine is a bi-fuel engine and can be run on both petrol and CNG and is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

In petrol guise, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco's K12C engine pushes out 80bhp and 104.4Nm of peak torque while returning a mileage of 19.7km/l. When running on compressed natural gas, the output drops to 71bhp and 95Nm of peak torque. The Eeco returns a mileage of 26.78km/kg. In its commercial Tour V guise, the Eeco is, even more, fuel-efficient delivering 20.2km/l in petrol guise and 27.05km/kg when running on CNG.
Speaking about the Eeco crossing the 10 lakh customer milestone, "Eeco dominates the van segment with over 94% market share. It has been the trusted choice of over 10 lakh customers, adapting to their evolving needs over the years. Interestingly, the first 5 lakh sales milestone for Eeco took 8 years, while the next 5 lakh sales milestone was achieved in under 5 years, speaking volumes about the quality, trust, and reliability it brings to the table. We thank our customers for their faith in us, making Eeco the preferred choice of customers, and the highest-selling van in the country."
Thoughts About The Maruti Suzuki Eeco's Milestone
The Maruti Suzuki Eeco hitting the 10 lakh customer milestone shows just how versatile the van first introduced 13 years ago has become. With its ability to adapt to different situations and the lack of rivals, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco's run looks set to continue.
