Kerala Man Saves Rs 6 Lakh Every Month By Using EVs – Here's How
There is no doubt that electric vehicles are the future of transportation. However, many people are still hesitant to buy an electric vehicle due to reasons such as charging infrastructure, range anxiety, charging time and many more.
Now, a man from Kerala has boosted the confidence of many people considering switching to EVs by sharing his experience with EVs. Most importantly, he also shared the details regarding the financial savings he made by switching to EVs.
Speaking about this Kerala man, his name is Suresh, and he owns multiple labs in Kerala. Apart from that, Suresh is also one of the first owners of Kia EV6 electric vehicle in the southern state.
That being said, according to Suresh, he has been able to save up to Rs 6 lakh on fuel bills every month by switching to electric vehicles. Do not be alarmed as Suresh did not save so much money by driving the Kia EV6 alone.
Earlier, he had switched to electric vehicles for his business purposes. In fact, he had purchased 11 electric vehicles for his business purposes, which mostly consist of Tata Nexon EV and Tata Tigor EV.
These 11 electric vehicles run around the city collecting medical samples and other field work related to his lab business. Thanks to this adoption of electric vehicles, Suresh has been able to save up to Rs 6 lakh every month, which otherwise would have resulted in burning liquified dinosaurs.
Apart from that, Suresh even shared that he is very happy with the purchase of the Kia EV6, and he has been able to do 450 kilometres on a fully charged battery pack.
He also shared that EVs are also capable of doing long hauls as he has been able to travel from Kochi to Munnar and back to Kochi on a full charge.
Thoughts: With Suresh's story, we expect many people to have a positive view of electric vehicles. Moreover, we expect more people to start considering switching to electric vehicles as the news regarding fuel savings starts spreading around.
That being said, electric vehicles generally come with premium pricing. However, for those people with plenty of running, we expect this additional premium to be recovered within the first couple of years itself.
