Our 5 Expectations About The Upcoming Mahindra XUV300 Facelift SUV

The Mahindra XUV300 is a sub-4m SUV and the model took a few years to gather decent sales momentum in the Indian automobile sector. That being said, the sub-4m SUV segment is very competitive and it is not easy for any manufacturer to keep up its sales momentum without updates.

According to the latest reports, Mahindra has been developing the facelifted version of the XUV300 SUV and this updated model is expected to be launched in 2024. Here are our top 5 expectations regarding the XUV300 facelift SUV.

Mahindra XUV300 Turbo

Updated Exterior With LED Lighting

Since most of the SUVs in the sub-4m segment now sport more advanced LED headlight setup, we expect the upcoming facelifted version of the Mahindra XUV300 SUV to also come with an all-LED lighting setup.

Along with that, we also expect the model to feature an updated front bumper, grille, rear bumper, and alloy wheels. We also expect the taillamps to now sport 3D elements for premium looks.

Mahindra XUV300 Speed

New Dashboard

Though the Mahindra XUV300 could comfortably seat 3 people in the back seat and comes with airy-feeling light-coloured interiors, the dashboard of the model looks pretty outdated. As such, we expect Mahindra to update the dashboard design and equip the model with a bigger infotainment unit.

New Tech

The Mahindra XUV300 already comes with a decent feature list and some of these features are still not offered by its competitors. However, it still misses out on a few feel-good features that really attract a potential buyer.

Mahindra XUV300 Turbosport

As such, we expect the company to equip the upcoming facelift version of the XUV300 with tech such as a 360-degree surround-view camera, larger infotainment unt, wireless charging, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, digital instrument cluster, and much more.

Presence Of ADAS Tech

The Mahindra XUV300 is already one of the safest SUVs in India with a 5-Star safety rating from Global NCAP. As such, we expect the upcoming iteration of the Mahindra XUV300 SUV to sport ADAS tech to further enhance the safety quotient.

Likely To Come With New Gearbox

Coming to the powertrain, we expect Mahindra to ditch the 6-speed AMT gearbox in favour of 6-speed automatic transmission. This will be a great move considering AMT gearboxes negatively impact the driving experience.

Engine options are likely to remain same with the base 1.2-litre, turbocharged petrol engine (TCMPFi) producing 108.6bhp and 200Nm of torque, whereas the more powerful 1.2-litre, turbocharged petrol engine (TGDi) is tuned to produce 128.7bhp and 230Nm of torque.

On the other hand, the 1.5-litre, turbocharged diesel engine in the Mahindra XUV300 produces 115bhp and 300Nm of torque. The latter is a class-leading figure and creates a great first impression.
