Mahindra XUV300 Becomes More Affordable – New 'W2' Base Variant Launched
Automotive companies in India usually introduce new products in the Indian market ahead of the festive season to capitalise on the sales push achieved during this time period. As such, Mahindra has now launched new variants of the Mahindra XUV300 SUV in India.
The launch of the new variants of the Mahindra XUV300 has been almost perfectly timed to help the automaker gather momentum during the festive season. Also, thanks to the launch of the new variants, the Mahindra XUV300 is now more affordable.

Thanks to this more affordable price tag, we expect more sub-4m SUV buyers to shortlist the Mahindra XUV300 SUV. This is likely to result in a significant boost in overall sales figures for the automaker.
That being said, Mahindra has introduced a new base trim level called the 'W2'. Thanks to the introduction of this new trim, Mahindra has been able to set an aggressive starting price for the XUV300 SUV at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

In addition to the introduction of the new base 'W2' trim level, Mahindra also introduced the more powerful 1.2-litre, mStallion TGDi turbo petrol engine in the W4 trim level at Rs 9.29 lakh (ex-showroom).
Coming to the powertrains, the base 1.2-litre, turbocharged (TCMPFi) petrol engine in the Mahindra XUV300 puts out 109bhp and 200Nm of torque. On the other hand, the more powerful 1.2-litre, turbocharged (mStallion TGDi) petrol engine produces 128bhp and 230Nm of torque (250Nm in Boost mode).

In addition to these petrol powertrains, the 1.5-litre, turbocharged diesel engine in the Mahindra XUV300 SUV produces 115bhp and 300Nm of torque. Also, all powertrains except the mStallion TGDi engine can be specified with a 6-speed AMT unit instead of the standard 6-speed manual transmission.
