Mahindra Scorpio N Pickup – Everything We Know So Far
The Mahindra Scorpio N pickup was recently spotted testing on the Indian roads for the first time and this excited many automotive enthusiasts in India. That being said, if you eagerly waiting for the launch of the Scorpio N pickup, here's everything we know so far about this upcoming model.
Bigger Dimensions
The upcoming Mahindra Scorpio N pickup will sport a much longer wheelbase than the Scorpio N SUV. In fact, we expect this upcoming pickup to have a wheelbase of more than 3,000mm to accommodate the cargo bay. In comparison, the Scorpio N SUV's wheelbase stands at 2,600mm.

Thanks to this added wheelbase, we expect the upcoming pickup version of the Mahindra Scorpio N to sport a very usable and practical cargo bay. Apart from that, we expect the Scorpio N Pickup to come with additional ground clearance due to uprated suspension.
Design
Analysing the recent spied images and videos, the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio N pickup is likely to come with a similar face as the Scorpio N SUV. However, we expect more than a few changes at the rear including a set of new taillamps. Furthermore, the model also features fixed footsteps.
Features
We expect the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio N pickup to sport similar features as the standard Scorpio SUV. However, we expect this upcoming model to feature a 4WD system as standard and come with locking differentials at the front and back.
Powertrain
In terms of powertrain, we expect the upcoming pickup version of the Mahindra Scorpio N to be powered by the same 2.2-litre, turbocharged, 4-cylinder diesel engine. This engine in the standard Scorpio N SUV is tuned to produce 172.5bhp and 400Nm of peak torque.
Additionally, the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio N pickup is also expected to be offered with both a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission. However, we expect a slight change in gear ratios to suit the characteristics of a pickup.
Thoughts About The Mahindra Scorpio N Pickup
Testing of the Mahindra Scorpio N on Indian roads is a clear indicator that the automaker intends to launch this model in India. When launched, we expect this upcoming model to give tough competition to dual-cab pickup SUVs such as the Isuzu V-Cross and Toyota Hilux.
