Mahindra Scorpio N ‘Z2’ Base Variant Arrives At Dealership – Surprisingly Well-Equipped
Earlier, Mahindra prioritised the deliveries of the top-spec variant of the Mahindra Scorpio N SUVs in India. Now, the automaker has commenced the production of the base 'Z2' variant of the SUV and the model has already started reaching Mahindra dealerships across the country.
Now, a walkaround video of the base 'Z2' variant of the Mahindra Scorpio N SUV has been uploaded on YouTube. The video shows both the exterior and interior of the Mahindra Scorpio N 'Z2' variant.
It is also worth mentioning that the Mahindra Scorpio N Z2 trim shown in the video is powered by a 2.0-litre, turbocharged petrol engine with 200bhp of power and 370Nm of torque. Furthermore, it comes equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission.
That being said, the base 'Z2' variant of the Mahindra Scorpio N SUV equipped with a petrol engine and a manual transmission is priced at Rs 13.05 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Also, considering the price, the Mahindra Scorpio N Z2 variant seems surprisingly well-equipped as seen in the video below.
For starters, the base 'Z2' variant of the Mahindra Scorpio N comes with features such as ORVM-mounted turn indicators, LED taillamps, forward-facing rear seats, a 12V socket on the boot, USB-C charging port on the 2nd row, power windows, rear AC vents, colour MID display, tilt-adjustable steering wheel and more.
In addition to this, the Mahindra Scorpio N Z2 variant also gets features such as a tilt-adjustable steering wheel. dual-tone interiors, LED roof lighting, steering-wheel mounted controls for MID, auto start-stop, rear parking sensors, manual central locking and more.
However, the base 'Z2' variant of the Mahindra Scorpio N does look 'built-to-a-price' when compared to the top-spec variant as the model misses out on modern features such as LED headlamps and DRLs, infotainment unit, reverse camera, alloy wheels, gloss front grille, roof rails, and more.
Thoughts About Mahindra Scorpio N Base Variant
Analysing the features and safety systems on offer, the Mahindra Scorpio N 'Z2' variant seems very well-equipped given its aggressive price tag. However, the absence of a few modern amenities stop it from being an ideal family SUV.
