Mahindra Bolero Neo+ Launch In September – Check Out All Details

The festive season is a great time for automakers to launch new products to capitalise on the sales push achieved during this time period. Now, Mahindra is expected to launch the Bolero Neo+ SUV in the Indian market by September 2023.

This new SUV is essentially a Mahindra TUV300+, and it will be positioned below the Mahindra Scorpio Classic. That being said, some variants of the upcoming Mahindra Bolero Neo+ and Scorpio Classic are expected to be overlapped.

Given the positioning of the Mahindra Bolero Neo+ as an affordable 3-row SUV, we expect this upcoming model to be aimed at tier 2 and rural markets in India. We also expect the 'Bolero' nameplate to help the model attract its target audience.

Speaking about the upcoming Mahindra Bolero Neo+, the SUV is expected to be offered in two seating configurations - 7 seater, and 9 seater. Also, the model will come exclusively with a rear-wheel drive layout.

In terms of powertrain, we expect the upcoming Mahindra Bolero Neo+ SUV to be powered by the same 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine that powers the Mahindra Scorpio Classic SUV. However, expect this powertrain in the upcoming Bolero Neo+ to be slightly detuned.

This detuned engine in the Mahindra Bolero Neo+ SUV is expected to produce around 120bhp and 280Nm of torque. In comparison, the Mahindra Scorpio Classic puts out 130bhp and 300Nm of torque.

That being said, much like the Mahindra Scorpio Classic SUV, the upcoming Mahindra Bolero Neo+ SUV is likely to be offered with one gearbox. This gearbox is likely to be the same 6-speed manual gearbox used in the Mahindra Classic SUV.

In terms of features, we expect the Mahindra Bolero Neo+ SUV to come equipped with features such as steering-mounted controls, a 6.8-inch infotainment unit, power windows, height-adjustable driver seat, dual airbags, ABS, EBD, and much more.

Thoughts About The Mahindra Bolero Neo+

The Mahindra Bolero Neo+ is expected to do well in tier 2 cities and rural markets in India. Also, we expect the model to attract more of its target customers this time due to the 'Bolero' nameplate.
