Lexus LM Luxury MPV Revealed in India – Bookings Now Open
Ahead of the auspicious festive season in India, Lexus has revealed the upcoming next-generation LM MPV. This is the first time Lexus has planned to introduce the LM MPV in the country as the first-generation model was exclusive to the Chinese market.
That being said, the upcoming next-generation Lexus LM MPV is based on the Toyota Vellfire and the company has already commenced bookings for the model in India. When launched, it will take on the likes of the Toyota Vellfire and premium luxury SUVs such as the Mercedes-Benz GLS.
Since the upcoming next-generation Lexus LM MPV is based on the Toyota Vellfire MPV, both models feature a similar silhouette. However, the next-generation Lexus LM MPV looks a lot more premium with its oversized Lexus grille and sleek LED headlamps.
In comparison to the front section, the rear section of the next-generation Lexus LM luxury MPV is a lot simpler with a boomerang-shaped LED bar being the only interesting design element. It is also worth mentioning that the alloy wheels on the Lexus LM MPV look very premium.
In India, the upcoming next-generation Lexus LM MPV is available in just 4, and 6-seater options. The 4-seater variant is the more luxurious one with a partition between the first and second-row seating.
The second-row seats in the 4-seater version of the Lexus LM MPV resemble airline-style recliner seats and are designed for maximum comfort during long hauls. Noticeable features include a 48-inch TV with a 23-speaker surround sound system.
The second-row passengers also get additional features such as foldout tables, powered ottomans, heated armrests, fridge, multiple charging ports, vanity mirrors, a few storage spaces and much more. There is even a control panel to adjust various functions such as interior lighting, sun blinds, windows and other amenities.
Coming to the powertrain, the upcoming next-generation Lexus LM MPV is likely to be offered with the 2.5-litre, strong-hybrid powertrain with 250bhp and 239Nm of torque. However, the model could also be powered by a more powerful 2.4-litre, turbocharged mild-hybrid powertrain.
