Kia Seltos Mileage Figures Revealed – Turbocharged Engine Options Are More Efficient
Kia recently launched the facelifted version of the Seltos SUV in India. This newly launched Kia Seltos facelift is available in 18 variants and prices for the model range between Rs 10.89 lakh to Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Now, Kia India has revealed the fuel efficiency figures for the new Kia Seltos facelift. That being said, the 2023 Kia Seltos facelift is offered with three engine options and five transmission options in India.
1.5-litre, Naturally-Aspirated Petrol Engine
The 1.5-litre, naturally-aspirated engine in the updated Kia Seltos SUV puts out 113bhp and 144Nm of peak torque. This engine comes with two transmission options - A 6-speed MT gearbox, and a CVT unit.
According to ARAI, the manual transmission variant returns a fuel efficiency figure of 17km/l, whereas the fuel efficiency figure for the model equipped with the CVT gearbox stands at 17.7km/l.
1.5-litre, Turbocharged Petrol Engine
The newly introduced 1.5-litre, turbocharged, petrol engine produces 158bhp and 253Nm of peak torque. This powertrain can be specified with either a 6-speed iMT unit or a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
The fuel efficiency figure for the variant equipped with the iMT gearbox is rated as 17.7km/l, whereas the variant with the 7-Speed gearbox is rated to return a mileage figure of 17.9km/l.
1.5-litre, Turbocharged Diesel Engine
The 1.5-litre, turbocharged, diesel engine continues to be the most fuel-efficient option in the Seltos SUV. This powertrain produces 114bhp and 250Nm of torque, and can be paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic unit.
According to ARAI, the variant with the manual transmission returns a fuel efficiency figure of 20.7km/l, whereas the mileage figure for the model equipped with the automatic gearbox stands at 19.1km/l.
Thoughts About Kia Seltos Facelift Mileage Figures
Looking at the ARAI mileage figures for the newly launched Kia Seltos facelift, the diesel variants continue to be the most fuel-efficient. However, it is quite surprising to see that the naturally-aspirated petrol variants are the least fuel-efficient of the lot.
That being said, the newly launched 2023 Kia Seltos mileage figures look more than decent for an SUV of its segment. Also, we expect these revealed mileage figures to attract more customers.
