Undeniable Success: Kia Seltos Hits 50,000 Bookings In Just Two Months
In only a span of two months, Kia India has surpassed 50,000 reservations for its latest Seltos model. This achievement places Kia among the fastest manufacturers in the mid-SUV segment to meet this milestone.
Furthermore, this month saw the company achieve 4 lakh unit domestic sales. Also, since the establishment of Kia India, the automaker managed to sell a total of 5.47 lakh units of Seltos SUVs in the country (exports included).
The latest iteration of the Seltos SUV has managed to uphold and even surpass the established trend of its forerunners, accounting for a significant 77 per cent of all orders being for its top-end variants (starting from HTX).
Notably, nearly half of all bookings were for configurations bundled with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), highlighting the growing consumer inclination towards advanced safety features and up-to-date technologies.
Myung-sik Sohn, Chief Sales & Business Officer at Kia India, noted that the Seltos has solidified its position as a reliable and enjoyable drive for today's drivers. The synergy of innovative design specs with the vehicle's tangible value is a significant contributor to its overwhelming success.
He assured customers that the company is optimizing its production processes to minimize the waiting period amidst the surging demand, allowing them to quickly seize their preferred SUV variant.
The Seltos has emerged as a flagship model for Kia India, with sales exceeding 5.47 lakh units domestically and across close to 100 export markets. On July 21, 2023, the company launched an upgraded Seltos, boasting a more dynamic design, enhanced performance, robust exterior, advanced cabin, and refined technologies.
The model features 32 distinct attributes, including 15 basic safety features standard across all variants and 17 ADAS Level 2 autonomous functionalities. The Seltos also offers a Dual Screen Panoramic Display, Dual Zone Fully Automatic Air Conditioner, and a Dual Pane Panoramic Sunroof. Bookings for the upgraded Seltos began on July 14, 2023.
