Hyundai Verna Gets 5-Star Safety Rating – Check Out The Results Here

That being said, the latest generation of the Hyundai Verna sedan is no different with many segment-first features. However, the latest generation Hyundai Verna sedan has also given equal importance to safety aspects as well.
Now, Hyundai has announced that the latest generation Verna sedan has bagged a 5-star safety rating from Global-NCAP. In fact, the South Korean sedan secured a 5-Star safety rating for both Adult and Child Occupant Protection.
Looking into details, the latest generation of Hyundai Verna sedan even comes with Level-2 ADAS tech. This includes advanced safety features such as Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, High-Beam Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance assist, Lead Vehicle Departure Alert, Driver Attention Warning and more.
Other than that, the new Hyundai Verna sedan even gets 65 safety features. Some of the noticeable ones include 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, ISOFIX mounting points, automatic headlamps, burglar alarm, impact-sensing auto door unlock, speed-sensing auto door lock, and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS).
Speaking about the latest generation of Hyundai Verna sedan, the model comes with two petrol engine options. The '1.5 Turbo' engine features a turbocharged, 1.5-litre engine with 157.8bhp and 253Nm of torque. This engine can be specified with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
On the other hand, the base powertrain is the familiar 1.5-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol engine with 114bhp of power and 144Nm of torque. Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT gearbox.
