Hyundai Tucson Facelift Revealed - Will Arrive In India Next Year

South Korean carmaker Hyundai has revealed the facelifted Tucson SUV. The facelifted Hyundai Tucson is expected to arrive in India in 2024.

The revamped Tucson boasts a more refined aesthetic compared to the current version of the SUV that arrived back in India in August 2022. The facelifted Hyundai Tucson's updated looks align with the brand's new Parametric Dynamics design language which can be seen in the new Santa Fe and the updated Kona.

One of the more noticeable changes is the redesigned front grille. The facelift also introduces skid plates at the front and rear, slightly restyled headlights, and a new alloy wheel design, all of which serve to emphasise the updated Tucson's width and robustness.

The Tucson's interiors too are more in line with Hyundai's overall design language. The Tucson adopts the dual-display setup seen on the firm's newer models and EVs like the Ioniq 5.

The displays are integrated into a stylish, curved one-piece panel behind a new-look steering wheel. Hyundai has thankfully reintroduced physical dials for the HVAC system. There are new haptic controls for other functions and there is also more storage space up front thanks to a slimmer central section.

Under the bonnet, Hyundai has not made any changes to the Tucson's powertrain. So when the facelifted Tucson arrives in India next year it will sport the same 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines under the bonnet.

The naturally-aspirated petrol engine pushes out 154bhp at 6,200rpm and 192Nm of peak torque at 4,500rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

The diesel engine, on the other hand, is a turbocharged unit kicking out 184bhp at 4,000rpm and 416Nm of peak torque from 2,000-2,750rpm and comes paired with an 8-speed torque automatic. The diesel version of the Tucson is also offered with an all-wheel-drive variant that also offers multiple off-roading modes - Snow, Mud and Sand.

Thoughts About The Hyundai Tucson Facelift

The facelifted Hyundai Tucson sees the South Korean carmaker update the SUV to bring its design in line with the rest of its SUV lineup. The updated Tucson looks more refined but still looks as crazy as ever.
