Hyundai Sells 49,000+ Cars In April 2023 – Registers 13 Per Cent Growth
The YoY sales figure for Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) improved by almost 13 per cent in April 2023 as the company managed to sell 49,701 units of its vehicles in the country.
In comparison, the South Korean car manufacturer managed to sell just 44,001 units in April 2022, which is 5,700 units less than what the company achieved in the previous month.
However, it is not all positive for HMIL as the company saw a slight dip in MoM sales performance. This is because the company had sold more than 50,000 units of its vehicles in March 2023.
In fact, the South Korean car manufacturer managed to sell 50,600 units of its cars in March 2023, which is 899 units more than what the company managed to sell in April 2023 (49,701 units). This means the MoM sales figure fell down by more than 1.7 per cent for HMIL in April 2023.

In addition to that, the YoY export figure for HMIL also reduced by more than 30 per cent as the company managed to export just 8,500 units of its cars in April 2023.
In comparison, HMIL managed to export 12,200 units of its cars in April 2022, which is 3,700 units more than what the company managed last month. However, the total sales for HMIL stood at 58,201 units, which is 2,000 units more than what the company managed last year.
Thoughts About HMIL's Sales Performance In April 2023
Though the export figures for Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) fell considerably at more than 30 per cent, the strong YoY domestic sales performance helped the South Korean car manufacturer register an overall positive sales growth. That being said, it is the MoM sales performance that negatively impacted HMIL.
