Hyundai Records Near 3% Sales Boost In November As Exter Crosses 1 Lakh Milestone
Hyundai had a positive month on the sales charts in November 2023. The South Korean carmaker recorded an increase of 2.8 per cent in total sales compared to November 2022.
Hyundai reported total sales of 65,801 units in November 2023. This included 49,451 units sold domestically with the South Korean marque also exporting 16,350 units from our shores to other countries.
Hyundai's overall sales rose by 2.80 per cent or 1,798 units Year-over-Year thanks to gains in both domestic sales and export numbers. The Korean carmaker, which is the second most popular car marque in the country, had shipped out a total of 64,003 units in the month of November 2022.
Domestic numbers for Hyundai were by 3.01 per cent or 1,449 units as the nation continued its car buying spree thanks to the Diwali festive period. Hyundai had sold 48,002 passenger vehicles in the month of November 2022.
The South Korean firm's exports also rose in the Y-o-Y metrics. Hyundai's exports from India rose by 349 units or 2.18 per cent compared to November 2022 when it exported 16,001 vehicles from India.
Commenting on the November sales numbers, Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, "Hyundai Motor India recorded cumulative sales of 65 801 units in November 2023. With encouraging customer response leading to higher retail sales during the festival season, our Dealer network stock is at a very optimum level of 3 weeks. As the Hyundai family, we are well-prepared to end a very successful CY 23 on a high and welcome CY 24 on a positive note."
He added, "Hyundai Motor India's SUV line-up continues to exhibit robust momentum, contributing over 60% to our overall sales. Our latest addition to SUVs, Hyundai Exter has achieved a major milestone of 1 lakh bookings. This is a testimony to customers appreciating Hyundai cars that offers top-notch quality, safety, technology and design.
