Hyundai i20 Facelift Teased – Gets New Features & More
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is all geared up for the launch of the facelifted version of the Hyundai i20 hatchback. The company even released a teaser announcing the arrival of the upcoming Hyundai i20 facelift.
Looking at the teaser image, we can see that Hyundai has made some changes to the front section of the upcoming Hyundai i20 facelift hatchback. As a result, the model looks a bit more sportier and youthful than the outgoing model.

Looking into the details, the teaser image of the upcoming Hyundai i20 facelift hatchback reveals that the model now features reflector-type LED headlamps, a new front grille and a slightly revised front bumper.
That being said, the test mules of the upcoming Hyundai i20 facelift hatchbacks have been spotted wearing camouflage over the front and rear sections. This could only mean that the upcoming Hyundai i20 facelift will also sport a redesigned rear bumper with updated taillamps.

It is also worth mentioning that a test mule of the upcoming Hyundai i20 facelift hatchback was seen testing with a set of new 5-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels. Moreover, we expect the N Line variant of this model to feature slightly more aggressive design elements to enhance the sporty appeal.
That being said, the interior of the upcoming Hyundai i20 facelift hatchback is expected to feature some decent changes to make the cabin look a bit more modern and premium. We also expect the Hyundai i20 facelift to sport an in-built dashcam as well.
Coming to the powertrain, we expect the upcoming Hyundai i20 facelift to feature the same powertrain options as the outgoing model. This includes a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
Thoughts: Though the sub-4m SUV segment has become a favourite for many new car buyers in India, the premium hatchback segment continues to churn decent sales revenue for automakers.
As such, we expect the upcoming Hyundai i20 facelift hatchback to further boost the overall sales figures for the South Korean automaker in India. Also, the model has always been a decent performer for Hyundai in India.
