The Hyundai Exter sports a proper boxy SUV with all the design cues that we've seen on Hyundai's latest cars and SUVs, from the split lighting to the cladding on the sides to the flared wheelarches.

At the front, the all-new Exter features a split headlight design. The signature H-shaped DRLs sit higher up on the front of the new Exter, while the actual projector headlamps sit lower on the front bumper, flanking each side of the blacked-out grille.

Also seen is a silver skid plate on the lower section of the front bumper. The Hyundai badge can be found on the bonnet, while the Exter badging sits between the top-lighting section and the grille.

The sides of the all-new Hyundai Exter SUV feature flared wheelarches and plastic cladding. The wheelarches play host to 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The roof rails blacked out pillars with what Hyundai calls 'parametric garnish' on the C-pillar are the other highlights.

At the rear, the Hyundai Exter sports led taillamps with the same H signature as the DRLs. The taillights are connected to each other by a plastic section which houses the Hyundai badge. Also seen are the silver bash plate and the roof-mounted spoiler, which houses the third brake light.

Owners can also access the Hyundai Bluelink connected car suite from the screen, which offers over 60 plus smart car features like voice assistant and valet mode, among many others. The new Hyundai Exter also sports a 4.2-inch colour TFT digital cluster. The interior also features a leatherette-wrapped steering wheel (with mounted controls) and a gear knob.

Other highlights of the Exter's interior include the automatic AC, paddle shifters, cooled glove box, electric sunroof, USB C fast charging, wireless phone charger, and a dash cam with dual cameras.

The all-new Hyundai Exter micro SUV comes packed with a host of safety features as standard. These include six airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX anchors, rear parking sensors and engine immobilizer, among others.

Other safety kit on the Exter includes ESC, vehicle stability management, hill assist, and a rear parking camera, among others.

The Hyundai Exter is being offered in six monotone and three dual-tone colour options. These include two new exclusive colours dubbed Cosmic Blue and Ranger Khaki, both of which are offered in dual-tone guise with the roof finished in Abyss Black.

Thoughts About The Hyundai Exter

The Hyundai Exter sees the Korean firm enter the micro SUV segment as it looks to keep Tata away from the 2nd spot on the sales charts.

As always, Hyundai has packed the Exter with a host of features and given the micro SUV a rather distinct design which will ensure that it grabs eyeballs and, hopefully, a new set of customers.
