Hyundai Exter SUV Bookings Open – CNG & Other Variant Details Inside
Hyundai has opened bookings for its upcoming Hyundai Exter SUV in India. This upcoming micro-SUV will be available in 5 trim levels and the booking amount has been capped at Rs 11,000.
What is even more interesting is that the upcoming Hyundai Exter SUV will also be available with a CNG-compatible powertrain as well, which we expect to further drive the sales figures in tier 1 and tier 2 cities in the country.

Along with this, HMIL has also confirmed that the upcoming Exter SUV will sport a 1.2-litre, naturally-aspirated engine. This is the same engine that powers the likes of other Hyundai models such as Grand i10 Nios, Aura, and more.
That being said, this 1.2-litre petrol engine in the above-listed vehicles puts out 82bhp of power and 113.8Nm of torque. Moreover, gearbox options include a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

It is also worth mentioning that this powertrain has been recently updated to comply with the latest BS6 Phase 2 emission norms and E20 fuel (20 per cent Ethanol, and 80 per cent petrol).
Earlier, a Hyundai Exter SUV was spotted in South Korea without any disguise. These spied images not only revealed numerous design details but also gave an idea of what to expect from the upcoming micro-SUV.
Additionally, it is also been said that the upcoming Hyundai Exter SUV will be manufactured at HMIL's manufacturing facility in Chennai and compete against the likes of Citreon C3 and Tata Punch models in India.
Furthermore, we expect the success of the Hyundai Exter SUV to help the South Korean car manufacturer pull a decent lead over Tata Motors in terms of overall sales figures in India.
Thoughts: The upcoming Hyundai Exter SUV is said to be launched in the coming months and we expect this micro-SUV to be very successful in India. Furthermore, the success of the Exter SUV will attract more carmakers to develop and launch new micro-SUVs in the Indian market
