Hyundai Honors N-Brand Milestone With Elantra N: Check Out All Details Here
Hyundai Motor Company commemorated the eighth year of its high-performance N brand by unveiling the refreshed Elantra N. The Hyundai Elantra N since its first launch in 2021 played a crucial role in introducing the N brand to both the United States and Australia.
Presently, Elantra N plays an instrumental role in the brand's foray into China, where the latest model was unveiled earlier this year at Auto Shanghai 2023 in conjunction with Elantra N TCR, a car that has established its supremacy on the racetrack with multiple victories since its debut.

The revamped Elantra N includes advanced technological features, passed down from motorsport competitions, that enhance high-speed handling, safety, and comfort. According to the automaker, the model is designed around the three major components - Corner Rascal, Racetrack Capability, and Everyday Sportscar.
The Elantra N TCR originally inspired the first Elantra and emerged victorious in the TCR category at the Nürburgring 24-hour endurance race for two successive years (2021-22). It also clinched the WTCR team and driver championship in 2022.
Updated versions of the Elantra N and the race car were then developed considering insights obtained from the Elantra N Cup One Make Racing (OMR) series on software and hardware improvements.
"The Elantra N TCR's successful racing history is a testament to our commitment to elevating the motorsport DNA in our regular vehicles for the enjoyment of N fans," stated Till Wartenberg, Vice President and Head of N Brand and Motorsports at Hyundai Motor Company.
Performance enhancements aimed at boosting comfort and safety are derived from motorsport. Improvements in ride and handling include reinforced engine mounts and G-bushing for reduced after-shake, improved agility, and better steering precision.
Additionally, refinements to the Electronic Controlled Suspension (ECS) hardware lead to superior body control. The cooling system has also been upgraded on the new Elantra N without compromising aerodynamic efficiency.
For efficient cooling, a duct-style air guard directs airflow to maintain speed, improve aerodynamics, fuel efficiency, and cooling capacity under extreme circumstances. The model's 2.0-litre T-GDi engine, specially built for N models, is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed DCT unit.
This engine according to Hyundai puts out 276.17bhp and 392.26Nm. Also, the top speed of the model is rated at 280km/h. The updated Elantra N flaunts an aesthetics inspired by motorsports, resonating with followers' popular preferences.
Just in time for the N brand's eighth anniversary, Hyundai N released a performance video featuring the new Elantra N, a tribute to N-followers, with actual cars owned by enthusiasts included in the film.
