Hyundai Bags More Than 50,000 Bookings For Exter - AMT Variant In High Demand
The new Hyundai Exter has been creating a lot of excitement on the internet after its recent launch in India. Hyundai has been making significant-improvements recently, and the Exter is a great-example of that. Its boxy design, features, and competitive pricing are making it a tough competitor for its rivals.
Hyundai has revealed that they have received over 50,000 orders for the Exter. The number of bookings increased from 10,000 to 50,000 within a month of its launch. Additionally, Hyundai mentioned that more than one-third of these bookings are for the AMT variants of the vehicle.
The Exter is available in seven trims: EX, EX(O), S, S(O), SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Connect. Hyundai Exter comes with a 3-year warranty, and customers also have the choice-to-extend it for up-to 7 years. The SUV has 9 exterior colour-choices, including 6 single-tone and 3 dual-tone-options.
The Exter has gained attention in the market for introducing many features that are a first-in-its-segment. These include footwell lighting, metal pedals, a shark-fin antenna, a sunroof, a dashcam with dual cameras, a wireless charger, rear AC vents, premium floor mats, paddle shifters, on-board navigation, and compatibility with multiple languages.
Exter is powered by a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine that produces 81.86bhp and 113.8Nm of torque. The CNG variant makes 68bhp and 95.2Nm.The Petrol powertrain gets a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT, whereas the CNG powertrain only gets a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The engine runs smoothly and is well-refined. Additionally, the manual gearbox provides a satisfying shift, and the AMT gearbox shifts with minimal jerking, making it one of the top AMTs available. Interestingly, the Exter AMT also comes with paddle shifters for added convenience.
Hyundai Exter competes against the likes of the Tata Punch. The Exter is currently priced between Rs 6.00 lakh and Rs 10.00 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom and introductory.
