Hyundai Alcazar 1.5 Turbo Deliveries Commence – Check Out All Details
Hyundai recently updated the Alcazar SUV with a new 1.5-litre, turbocharged petrol engine to comply with the latest RDE and BS6 Phase 2 emission regulations. Now, the South Korean automaker has commenced the deliveries of the updated Hyundai Alcazar 1.5 Turbo SUV in the country.
This new 1.5-litre, turbocharged petrol engine replaced the 2.0-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol engine and it produces a healthier 157.8bhp of peak power and 253Nm of peak torque, which is 1bhp and 62Nm more than the powertrain it replaced.

That being said, the new 1.5-litre, turbocharged petrol engine not only complies with the new BS6 Phase II emission regulations but is also compatible with E20 fuel. Other than that, gearbox options include a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed DCT unit.
Thanks to the new powertrain, the Hyundai Alcazar 1.5 Turbo is capable of delivering a fuel efficiency figure of 18km/l when equipped with the 7-speed DCT gearbox. However, the fuel efficiency figure drops to 17.5km/l for the variant equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission.
The new Hyundai Alcazar 1.5 Turbo is available in 5 trim levels - Prestige, Platinum, Platinum (O), Signature, and Signature (O). Out of these 5 trim levels on offer, Platinum (O), and Signature (O) trims come exclusively with a 6-seater configuration.
In terms of safety features, the new 2023 Hyundai Alcazar comes with even more safety features and some of the noteworthy safety systems include 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), and rear disc brakes.
In terms of pricing, the new Hyundai Alcazar 1.5 Turbo range starts from Rs 16.78 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the Prestige variant with manual transmission and goes all the way up to Rs 20.28 lakh for the top-spec Signature (O) variant with DCT gearbox.
Thoughts About The New Hyundai Alcazar 1.5 Turbo
Thanks to the updated powertrain, we expect the Alcazar 1.5 Turbo to be not only more efficient and less polluting, but the additional torque from the turbocharged engine will help the SUV perform better, especially under heavier loads.
