Hyundai Ai3 SUV – All You Need To Know
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) recently released the first teaser images of its upcoming SUV. This new SUV is codenamed Ai3 and it will be the smallest SUV from Hyundai.
Design: The design of the upcoming Hyundai Ai3 SUV will be very different compared to the Hyundai Casper SUV sold in South Korea. In fact, the design of the Hyundai Ai3 SUV is said to be an angular design consisting of full-width lightbars at both front and rear.

Platform: The upcoming Hyundai Ai3 SUV is built on the Hyundai's K1 small car platform. This is the same platform that underpins the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios hatchback. As a result, the upcoming Hyundai Ai3 SUV is expected to be approximately the same size as the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios hatchback.
Powertrain: Since the upcoming Hyundai Ai3 SUV utilises the K1 small car platform, we expect the upcoming SUV to sport the same 1.2-litre, naturally-aspirated, petrol engine as the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.

This engine in the Grand i10 Nios hatchback puts out 82bhp of peak power and 113.8Nm of torque. Furthermore, transmission options will include a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed AMT unit.
Production & Launch: The upcoming Hyundai Ai3 SUV will be manufactured at HMIL's manufacturing plant in Chennai and the model is expected to be launched around the upcoming festive season in India.

Rivals: When launched, the Hyundai Ai3 SUV will compete against the likes of Tata Punch and Citroen C3 models in India. Also, the success of the model will help the South Korean automaker pull a decent lead over Tata Motors in terms of overall sales figures.
Thoughts About The Hyundai Ai3 SUV
With the launch of the Hyundai Ai3 SUV, Hyundai India will be able to attract more customers to its showrooms and increase its overall sales figures. On top of that, the success of the Ai3 SUV will help the South Korean automaker keep Tata Motors at bay.
