Honda and Citroen recently entered the highly competitive C-segment SUV category in India with the Elevate and C3 Aircross SUVs, respectively. However, both automakers have taken completely different approaches to the segment.

Starting with the obvious, the Citroen C3 Aircross is the only SUV in its segment that features 3 rows of seating. As such, the model measures 4,323mm long, 1,796mm wide, and 1,669mm tall. Also, the wheelbase measures 2,671mm, and the ground clearance stands at 200mm.

In comparison, the Honda Elevate SUV is slightly smaller measuring just 4,312mm long, 1,790mm wide, and 1,650mm tall. Also, the wheelbase of the model stands at 2,650mm. That being said, it comes with a better ground clearance of 220mm.

The boot space of the Citroen C3 Aircross model stands at a very impressive 511 litres. However, the boot space of the 7-seater variant stands at 444 litres. In comparison, the Honda Elevate's boot space measures 458 litres.

Features

The new Citroen C3 Aircross is not a very well-equipped SUV. However, it does come with all the modern essentials such as the 10.2-inch infotainment unit, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 7-inch digital driver's display, ABS, EBD, ESC, hill-hold assist, TPMS and more.

The Honda Elevate on the other hand is much more well-equipped with features such as a sunroof, six airbags, hill-start assist, vehicle stability assist, ADAS tech, and much more. However, the model still lags behind its primary rivals from South Korea.

Engine

Both SUVs come with just one engine option. The Citroen C3 Aircross uses a 1.2-litre, turbocharged engine with 110bhp and 190Nm of peak torque. Also, this engine comes exclusively mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

On the other hand, the Honda Elevate SUV comes with a 1.5-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol engine with 119bhp and 145Nm of torque. Also, this engine can be optioned with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-step CVT unit.

Price

In terms of pricing, the Citroen C3 SUV prices start at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the prices for the Honda Elevate SUV start at Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
