Honda Elevate SUV Launch Today – Better To Be Late Than Never
Honda Car India is all geared up for the launch of the new Honda Elevate SUV in India and the Japanese automaker already has some high expectations of the model. Also, we expect the festive season to help Honda further boost the sales figures for the Elevate SUV in India.
That being said, Honda has already commenced the bookings for the Elevate SUV in India, and the initial response so far has been very positive for the Japanese automaker. It is also worth mentioning that the booking amount for the Honda Elevate SUV has been capped at Rs 25,000.

Speaking about the Honda Elevate, the upcoming SUV competes against the likes of other C-segment SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor and more. It is also worth mentioning that the C-segment SUV category is among the most competitive car segments in the country.
For a car maker, the success of its product in the C-segment SUV category will ensure a significant boost in overall sales figures. As of now, the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara are enjoying the most success in this segment.

Powering the Honda Elevate SUV is a 1.5-litre, DOHC, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine. This is the same engine that powers the 5th-generation Honda City. Moreover, this engine in the Elevate SUV is tuned to produce 119.4bhp at 6,600rpm and 145Nm of torque at 4,300rpm.
Transmission options with this 1.5-litre engine in the Honda Elevate SUV include a 6-speed manual transmission and a CVT gearbox. As per Honda, the manual variant of the Honda Elevate SUV returns a fuel efficiency of 15.31km/l, whereas the CVT variant returns 16.92km/l.

Some of the notable features of the Honda Elevate SUV include a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless smartphone integration, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, lane-watch camera, rear-view camera, connected-car tech, and ADAS tech.
In terms of dimensions, the new Elevate SUV measures 4,312mm long, 1,790mm wide, 1,650mm tall, and sports a wheelbase of 2,650mm. This means the Honda Elevate SUV is 12mm longer, 15mm taller, and sports a 40mm longer wheelbase than the Hyundai Creta SUV.

However, despite its slightly larger exterior dimensions, the turning radius of the Honda Elevate SUV is relatively small at just 5.2 metres. Additionally, Honda also revealed that the upcoming Elevate SUV will come with a 458-litre boot.
Thoughts: Looking at the Honda Elevate SUV, Honda seems to have studied its competitors well and the upcoming SUV sure looks to be a very strong contender in the highly competitive C-Segment SUV category.
