Honda Elevate Bookings Likely To Start Next Week – Deliveries To Commence Ahead Of The Festive Season

Honda Cars India already released a few teasers of the upcoming Honda Elevate SUV ahead of its launch in the country. Though the model is expected to be launched in August, we expect the Japanese automaker to open bookings for the Elevate SUV next week.

That being said, the upcoming Honda Elevate SUV will compete against the likes of other C-segment SUVs in the Indian market such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and more. On top of that, Honda already has high hopes for the upcoming Elevate SUV.

Honda Elevate Front

According to Honda, the upcoming Elevate SUV measures 4,312mm long, 1,790mm wide, 1,650mm tall, and sports a wheelbase of 2,650mm. This means the Honda Elevate SUV is 12mm longer, 15mm taller, and sports a 40mm longer wheelbase than the Hyundai Creta SUV.

Though differences are marginal, Honda's superior packaging ensures the Elevate SUV comes with a 25-litre bigger boot at 458 litres. Furthermore, the ground clearance of the Honda Elevate SUV is 30mm higher than Hyundai Creta at 220mm.

Also, despite the slightly larger exterior dimensions, the turning radius of the upcoming Honda Elevate SUV is rather small at just 5.2 metres. All these ensure that the upcoming Honda Elevate SUV is roomy yet easily manoeuvrable.

In terms of the powertrain, the upcoming Honda Elevate SUV will be powered by the same 1.5-litre, DOHC, 4-cylinder petrol engine as the 5th-generation Honda City. This engine in the Honda Elevate is tuned to produce 119.4bhp at 6,600rpm and 145Nm of torque at 4,300rpm.

Apart from that, this 1.5-litre engine in the Honda Elevate SUV will come with a choice of two transmission options. This includes a 6-speed manual transmission and a CVT gearbox.

Notable features on the Honda Elevate SUV include a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless smartphone integration, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, lane-watch camera, rear-view camera, connected-car tech, and ADAS tech.

Thoughts About The Upcoming Honda Elevate SUV

The Honda Elevate SUV sure looks to be a very strong contender in the highly competitive C-Segment SUV. However, to take on the likes of the best-selling C-segment SUVs, Honda has to ensure the upcoming Elevate SUV is priced competitively. We also expect deliveries of the SUV to commence ahead of the festive season in India.
