India Welcomes its First Rolls Royce Spectre: A Leap towards Sustainable Luxury
The British luxury auto manufacturer Rolls Royce has introduced its first-ever all-electric vehicle, the Spectre, to the Indian market. This fully electric hardtop two-door saloon debuted in India with its first delivery in Chennai, despite the official launch yet to take place. Priced at a luxurious Rs 9 crore (ex-showroom), the first pictures of the Rolls Royce Spectre in India have been shared on the web.
Automobili Ardent, through their official Instagram page, shared photos of India's inaugural Rolls Royce Spectre. The images expose the new Spectre debarking from an enclosed trailer in a garden setting. Initial photos reveal the Spectre's sleek slant back roof design, followed by images of the vehicle with its bonnet and right front door revealed. Another photo provides a glimpse of the Spectre nestled within the enclosed trailer.

Automobili Ardent later shared another image of the same vehicle, this time featuring straps on its front door, suggesting its arrival in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, via a cargo plane. However, details about the buyer of this all-electric hardtop saloon remain undisclosed.
As the year progresses, we anticipate more Spectres making their way to India, with official
launch planned for 2024. Rolls Royce claims that the all-electric Spectre was built entirely from scratch. The vehicle retains the signature design elements characteristic of Rolls Royce cars, along with some new features.

These include the largest grille ever fitted to a Rolls Royce, now illuminated, and a smoother Spirit of Ecstasy figure. LED headlights with DRLs also adorn the car. The new Spectre is the first Rolls Royce model to sport factory-fitted 23-inch alloy wheels, reinforcing its innovative design ethos.
At the rear, the Spectre resembles the Wraith, boasting a sleeker, sharper slanting roof design and minimalist LED taillights. The interior showcases the brand's commitment to high-quality craftsmanship, featuring exquisite leather and wooden inlays, complemented by metal accessories. According to the company, the Spectre is the first model to feature Starlight Doors, equipped with 4,796 subtly lit LED stars. An illuminated dashboard adds to the car's luxurious feel.
Under the hood, the Rolls Royce Spectre houses two BMW eDrive permanently excited synchronous motors. This all-electric sedan delivers approximately 577 hp and around 900 Nm of torque.

It serves as the epitome of luxury and sustainability, setting a benchmark for other automakers to follow.
