Starting the new year, French automaker, Citroen has decided to implement a considerable escalation in the prices of its offerings. This move falls in line with similar announcements from various other carmakers.
From the first day of January, all Citroën vehicles will experience a price surge that ranges between 2.5% to 3% depending on the car model. This hike is significant, yet it’s uniform for all models retailed in India, without any exceptions.
The models to be most immediately affected are the Citroën C3, the eco-friendly eC3 electric variant, the robust C3 Aircross, and the luxury C5 Aircross. Until the close of the year, these vehicles remain at their current prices, offering a window of opportunity for prospective buyers.
The Citroën C3 has been a popular choice, with its 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine delivering 80bhp, while the turbocharged version cranks up the game with 109bhp. Those with a penchant for strength and performance may favour the Citroën C5 Aircross.
The latter comes equipped with a 2.0-litre diesel engine with 174bhp and 400Nm of torque. Not to be overlooked is Citroën’s sprint into the electric realm with the eC3 with a 320km range on a single full charge.
