Citroen C3 Aircross Bookings & Delivery Timeline Revealed – Check Out All Details
The upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross SUV will make be launched around the festive season in India. Moreover, the bookings for this upcoming model from Citroen will be opened in September.
Speaking about the Citroen C3 Aircross, the model is a 3-row SUV based on the Citroen C3 hatchback. Being a 3-row SUV, the Citoren C3 Aircross has a distinct advantage over other C-Segment SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and more.
That being said, the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross SUV will be made available in both 5-seater and 7-seater variants. We also expect Citroen to launch the C3 Aircross in three trim levels.
Coming to the powertrain, the Citroen C3 Aircross SUV will be powered by the same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that powers the Citroen C3 hatchback. This engine in the hatchback produces 108.4bhp and 190Nm of torque.
This powertrain is expected to come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. However, we also expect a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox to be offered as an option in the higher-spec variants.
Since the Citroen C3 Aircross will be heavier than the C3 hatchback, we expect the French automaker to have reworked the gear ratios to propel the added bulk. We also expect the performance figures to be decent in this segment.
In terms of features, we expect the Citroen C3 Aircross SUV to come with additional features over the C3 hatchback to justify its premium pricing. Moreover, the unveiled model has revealed features such as digital instrumentation and roof-mounted AC vents for the middle row.
In terms of pricing, we expect Citroen to aggressively price the upcoming C3 Aircross SUV in India with a starting price tag of around Rs 10 lakh mark. However, it is safe to expect the prices for the top-spec variants to hover around the Rs 15 lakh price bracket.
