Cars With Factory-Fitted Dashcam In India – A Must-Have Safety Feature
The popularity of dashcams has rapidly increased in India over the last few years. Keeping up with the trend and the demand, automakers in India have also started to equip their respective models with dashcams. As such, here is a list of cars in India that feature factory-fitted dashcams.
Renault Triber
The 'Urban Edition' variant of the Renault Triber MPV comes with a dual-camera dashcam setup. However, this special edition is based on the top-spec RXZ variant and costs Rs 14,999 more. Also, prices for this model range between Rs 8.37 lakh and Rs 8.89 lakh, ex-showroom.
Renault Kiger
The recently launched 'Urban Knight' edition of the Renault Kiger SUV also comes with a dashcam (dual camera). However, this is stylishly integrated with the IRVM and doubles up as a 9.66-inch monitor as well.
However, only 300 units of this special edition Renault Kiger SUVs will be available and it just costs Rs 14,999 more than the top-spec RXZ variant of the SUV at Rs 8.94 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyundai Exter
The Hyundai Exter is the first vehicle in India to come equipped with a factory-fitted dashcam. This model can even be credited for motivating other brands to offer factory-fitted dashcams.
That being said, the dashcam feature is exclusively available with the top-spec SX(O) Connect variant of the Hyundai Exter SUV. Moreover, this variant comes with a starting price of Rs 9.32 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyundai Venue
Like the Hyundai Exter, the new Hyundai Venue also comes equipped with a dashcam. However, this feature is available with the Knight Edition and higher-spec variants of the Venue N Line models.
That being said, the Hyundai Venue Knight Edition prices range between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 13.48 lakh, ex-showroom. On the other hand, Venue N Line variant prices range between Rs 12 lakh and Rs 12.82 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyundai Creta
The Hyundai Creta is among the best-selling SUVs in the country. The company recently launched the Adventure Edition of the SUV and this model comes with a factory-fitted dashcam (dual camera).
That being said, the Adventure Edition of the Hyundai Creta SUV comes with SX and SX(O) variants. As a result, prices for this model range between Rs 15.17 lakh to Rs 17.89 lakh.
Skoda Slavia
Skoda also recently started offering a dashcam in the Slavia sedan. However, this feature is available on the 'Ambition Plus' trim. Also, prices for the Skoda Slavia Ambition Plus variant ranges between Rs 12.49 lakh and Rs 13.79 lakh, ex-showroom.
