BYD Seal India Website Goes Live – 530Bhp, 0-100Km/h In 3.8 Seconds
BYD is among the biggest electric car manufacturers in the world. Moreover, the Chinese car manufacturer is currently offering two EVs in India - e6 eMPV and Atto 3 SUV.
That being said, BYD is now gearing up to launch the Seal electric sedan in India and the Chinese car manufacturer has already made the debut of the electric sedan on its Indian website.

It is also worth mentioning that BYD has already showcased the Seal electric sedan at the Auto Expo 2023 and received an overwhelming response from the public. Furthermore, when launched, the BYD Seal electric sedan will compete against the likes of other premium electric vehicles such as the Kia EV6 GT Line and Volvo XC40 Recharge.
In terms of design, the BYD Seal looks very attractive with its aggressive front end featuring power bulges and a sloping roofline. Other design highlights include stylish alloy wheels, sharp creases, full-width taillamps, flush door handles and a few more. Also, the overall design looks very European in nature.

In terms of powertrain, the BYD Seal comes with two battery pack options. The smaller battery pack itself is rated at 61.4kWh, whereas the larger battery pack is rated at 82.5kWh. While the RWD variant produced 204bhp of power, the top-spec AWD variant produces a mind-boggling 530bhp of peak power and 670Nm of peak torque.
Thanks to this powertrain setup, the top-spec BYD Seal can do 100km/h sprint from a standstill in just 3.8 seconds. Furthermore, thanks to its slippery design the BYD Seal can cover 700 kilometres on a fully charged battery pack. It is also worth mentioning that the BYD Seal comes with a 50:50 weight distribution.
