BYD Atto 3 Electric SUV Deliveries Commence In India – More Than 340 Units Delivered

Chinese car manufacturer, BYD has commenced the deliveries of the Atto 3 electric SUV in India. Furthermore, the automaker claims that it has already delivered the first batch of the Atto 3 electric SUVs in the country.

Also, according to BYD India, more than 340 units of Atto 3 electric SUVs were handed over to their respective owners through its dealers across the country. That being said, the total bookings for the BYD Atto 3 electric SUV crossed more than 2,000 bookings since it was launched in the country back in 2022.

Looking at the global figures, BYD claims that it had sold more than 2.52 lakh units of the Atto 3 electric SUV in just 11 months across various countries. On top of that, BYD also claimed that it had sold 23,231 units of Atto 3 electric SUVs globally in the month of January 2023.

Recently, BYD also launched the Atto 3 Special Edition SUV at Rs 34.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and this model of sports an exclusive Forest Green exterior shade. Speaking about colour options, the standard version of the BYD Atto 3 electric SUV is available in 4 exterior shades - Boulder Grey, Parkour Red, Ski White, and Surf Blue, and this model is priced at Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

In terms of powertrain, the BYD Atto 3 electric SUV comes with a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor that is capable of delivering 201bhp of peak power and 310Nm of peak torque. Apart from that, it also comes with a large enough 60.48kWh battery pack with patented Blade-battery technology.

Thanks to this powertrain setup, BYD claims that the Atto 3 electric SUV can sprint to 100km/h from a standstill in just 7.3 seconds and is capable of covering 521 kilometres according to ARAI tests. Furthermore, it can also charge to 80 per cent of its battery capacity in just 50 minutes.

The global sales figures for the BYD Atto 3 makes the electric SUV a very successful model for the Chinese automaker. Furthermore, to increase the sales volume in India, BYD is currently aiming to set up 53 dealerships across the country by the end of this year.
