BMW X1 sDrive 18i M Sport Launched In India At Rs 48.90 Lakh – New Features & More
BMW has launched the new X1 sDrive 18i M Sport SUV in India at Rs 48.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This new trim level comes with a few additional features and some visual differences over the xLine trim.
The visual upgrade includes a new M Sport body kit that comes with M-specific front and rear bumpers, M-specific 18-inch alloy wheels, blacked-out window surrounds, and a gloss black kidney grille.

On the inside, the newly launched BMW X1 sDrive 18i M Sport SUV gets a sportier M Sport steering wheel with paddle shifters along with an equally sporty anthracite headliner.
That being said, additional features on the new BMW X1 sDrive 18i M Sport over the xLine trim include active seat adjustment for front passengers and a more premium Harman Kardon-tuned audio system.
Other noteworthy features on the new BMW X1 sDrive 18i M Sport SUV include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a wireless charging pad, two-zone climate control and more.
Powering the BMW X1 sDrive 18i M Sport is a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine with 135bhp of peak power and 230Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
According to BMW, the X1 sDrive M Sport can complete a 100km/h sprint from a standstill in just 9.2 seconds. Furthermore, the ARAI-claimed fuel efficiency figure for this premium SUV stands at 16.13kpl.
At present, the BMW X1 SUV directly rivals the likes of other entry-level premium SUVs such as the Mercedes-Benz GLA, Audi Q3, and Volvo XC40. Apart from that, the Mini Countryman can also be seen as a potential rival to the BMW X1.
