Auto Show 2023: Toyota Hilux Extreme Off Road Concept Showcased – Check Out All Details
Toyota captured the imagination of off-road enthusiasts at the Auto Expo 2023 by showcasing the Toyota Hilux Extreme Off Road Concept.
Speaking about the Toyota Hilux Off Road Concept, the showcased pick-up SUV immediately conveys its desired intention to onlookers with its long list of off-road focused modifications and the resulting stance.

For starters, Toyota has jacked the Hilux Extreme Concept with a 6-inch lit kit. This has liberated plenty of space under the wheel arches and Toyota has managed to fill the space with 5-spoke alloy wheels shod with chunky off-road tyres with an aggressive tread pattern of extreme off-road use.
Other than that, Toyota has also upgraded the suspension on the Hilux Extreme Concept Pick-Up SUV to suit extreme off-road conditions. Some of the noticeable changes include thicker coilover springs with gas-charged dampers on all four corners of the pick-up SUV along with additional custom-made underbody protection.

Moreover, Toyota has also used off-road bumpers at the front and back of the Hilux Extreme Off Road Concept pick-up SUV. This modification further improves the approach and departure angles of the pick-up SUV. It is also worth mentioning that the new front bumper seems to come with an integrated winch, pair of fog lamps and additional tow hooks as well.
Furthermore, Toyota has mounted eleven additional auxiliary lights on the Hilux Extreme Off Road pick-up SUV. This includes two LED spot lights and a LED flood light on the front bumper, 2 more LED auxiliary lights on the bonnet, and a set of six LED auxiliary lights on the roof rack. Other noticeable add-ons include a snorkel, extended ORVMs and a pair of footrest for easy ingress and egress.

That being said, Toyota is very tight-lipped about the modifications on the Hilux Extreme Off Road Concept pick-up SUV. Also, we expect the powertrain to be largely untouched consisting of the same tried-and-tested 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine from the Toyota Fortuner which produces 201bhp of peak power and 500Nm of peak torque.
